Snorkel gear - bring or rent?

We are having our first visit to Abaco in April. The wife and I have some snorkeling gear we are bringing, but we have none for the kids. Should we go to the local dive shop here and buy some, properly fitted, or should we count on renting gear in Abaco? We are landing at MHH and renting a boat from Sea Horse to go to our accommodations on Lubbers.
