try Doug.Evans@cibc.com. It will cost 1% of mortgage for stamp tax and to register it. Also there is a fee at the bank of about 1% to do all the paperwork. could be less. rates are 2% above price or somewhat less. you can get fixed mortgages. They will go for about 60% of appraised value or maybe more. good appraiser is Don Cornish in marsh harbour . he will charge 250.00. There is the Scotia Bank, CIBC, Royal Bank and Barkleys in MH. CB bank does not do USD mortgages.

The bank can do all the paperwork rather than a lawyer and this can save some $$.
