Married in the Abaco Inn gazebo last Valentines Day, we were back to celebrate our 1st anniversary. The island, all things considered, was beautiful!! Sure, some things were different i.e., the dunes, some missing houses and trees, fewer curly tailed lizards, and some major road damage. However, this being my 9th trip to Hopetown, I can honestly say, was the best trip so far. Spirits were high, water was just as blue, and the Kalik was just as cold. So what if the trees have fewer leaves on them and the roads have a few more bumps. In my opinion, Hopetown is thriving and will soon be better than ever, if that's possible.

The Abaco Inn looks wonderful. It's amazing what they've done in just 6 months. Hopetown Harbour Lodge is open for dining only. Unfortunatly, the pool is empty and the pool bar is closed. Was very sad to see as the pool bar is quite a festive place in the afternoons. Maybe next year. Harbours Edge was the same old place that I know and love. Fastest service in Hopetown and fantastic food. Tahitti Beach was great, especially at low tide, although the palm trees were a bit "bald". Cracker P's on Lubbers has by far the best food around. The bar is beautiful, the service (Patrick) is great, and the pork burger will take you to another place!! And Rodney, the dog, is much sweeter than he looks!! In my opinion, you can't get any better than Cracker P's. It's the best of the best.

Overall, the Abacos looked great. If you've never been there before you don't know what you're missing. If you love the Abacos, as we do, I think you'll only find a greater appreciation and love for the place. They fought Hurricane Floyd and won!!

I'll be more than happy to respond to any questions. Cheers and somebody drink a Kalik for me!!
