The Tampa area is beautiful! I do quite a bit of business there, and love St. Pete Beach every time I go over. We think the "Don" is perhaps one of the better Hotels in the state, aside of course from the many Ritz down here. To tell the truth, I think I'd be far happier if you were moving to Manalpan, and so would you. You'd be much closer to Abaco, and I'd have another friend at a hotel that I frequent.
