Hey guys - the west coast of Florida is truly wonderful and VERY different from the east coast. Sarasota is a great little city, as is the St. Pete/Tampa area. We live on Sanibel Island, off of Fort Myers, about 2.5 hours from Tampa (If Poppa Dawg is driving). From Tampa south, it is a great area.
