Most of the patterns we use come from Dick Brown's book "Bonefish Fly Patterns" and the Brewer's Amber is in the book. I HIGHLY recommend this book! But if you can't wait then the Brewer's Amber consists of the following: Hook: 34007 (we use number 4's) eye: Gold bead chain tail: lemon dyed wood duck wing: natural bucktail body: amber body glass thread: gold flat waxed nylon or equivalent The shape is roughly the same as a Gotcha. This fly is very easy to tie and very effective (I've tied 40 for our trip at the end of May!). Again, get "Bonefish Fly Patterns" by Dick Brown. It is a compilation of 150 fly patterns used around the world. There is a color photograph of each fly, along with the recipe, tying tips, fishing tips, location the fly was designed, the type if critter the fly emulates and tons more info. It is our bible for bonefishing. Amazon.com or BarnesandNoble.com would be good places to but it. Good Luck and Keep a Tight Line! Willy Landham (Abaco bound in less than a month!)
