Hi Alcyone,

There is a pretty well stocked grocery store in the village there At T/Cay. This store is our first destination upon arrival! They carry some excellent New Zealand butter that is outstanding on your Bahamaian bread toast in the morning!! Depending on where your room is located, you may be less than a one minute walk to the grocery and liquor stores!! They are just past the Hotel Reception and the bakery is in the next building over, towards the Marina offices. On Sunday, if you need something (except liquor or bread) there is a small convience store at the end of the building.

Touch serves standard Bahamian food. Lots of seafood, most of it fried (but don't be shy about asking for what you want!!), chicken and some beef. The conch fritters are complimentary and the seafood platter should include a piece of turtle! Live life closer to the edge while in Abaco and try it!! (PS It'll taste somewhat familiar!!) We always have had a good meal there.

Also, don't forget that Spinnaker's is located directly in the Marina and they have very good food as well. Their conch salad is the BEST!!! They also have chicken, ribs, beef and duck along with the usual standards.

Have fun!!
Gary M
