The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Rarely is anything negative about Abaco mentioned on the board. And, if any problem is mentioned, it is quickly glossed over with a "well, it didn't matter at all" kind of attitude. This has always seemed unrealistic to me and I determined that when we come back from our first trip to Abaco, I will give a full report with the good, the bad and the ugly. No trip is ever THAT perfect.

Well, this morning, as I was waking up and counting the days(22), I had a revelation. I'm thinking that the people of Abaco make visitors feel like guests in their home. No one wants to return from a visit with friends and complain about the accomodations or the hospitality. So, if the snorkeling isn't as good as I am anticipating, I will probably say, "But we met so many nice people." And if the wind is too strong to make good use of our rental boat I'll say "But everyone was so helpful teaching us about boating." If our luggage is lost for two days, "Oh well, who needs all that stuff, anyway" If our house isn't perfect, "We were never home!" EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT.
