Hi Gary E,

Since you'll have your own boat I know that you'll have a copy of the Dodge Cruising Guide with you! I've found it very easy to make copies of the charts that you'll need and then place them in a clear plastic slip cover. This is easier on the boat than wrestling with the whole book while you are under way.

Take them with you both days that you are chartering and ask the guides where some good places are in your area for grouper and snapper. They can also recommend bait, rigs etc. Ask them about obtaining some bait as well. They should be more than helpful. Check out my pics in the Scrap Book to see what's possible with a little bottom fishing!

Tight lines,
Gary Moline
