As Managing Partner at Dolphin Beach Resort, I can say that nobody, not us, not the locals, not Johnny nor anyone else at Nippers enjoyed last Sunday's fraturnity party. BUT, it is not anybody's fault but a bunch of middle-aged Americans who really need to remember what a good time in the Abacos is all about. It is about a yummy lunch, one or two beers(if you are into that)and then home with the family, with yourself, with a good book. You came out to Abaco to recharge - not to be a disgusting, sweating, hungover mess. Abaco is full of reefs teaming with glittering sea life, sunrises on desserted beaches, clear blue water and sky. Don't ruin it for yourselves. Enjoy every moment in paradise. A growing trend is towards too much alchohol consumption. Don't make this mistake and please respect the local communities - not only on Guana - but on the other Cays. The Cay people are fascinating, open, friendly, and if you can't take the time to understand, respect, and love the people of the Cays - and the lifesytle well then, YOU can't be in OUR club. I was at the airport when alot of those BUBBAS (that's what we used to call fat, noisy, sweaty, disgusting frat. boys when I was at University of VA. - we were out riding horses or taking a morning run when they were puking from the night before - LOSERS)were sitting around laughing about themselfimportantselves on Tuesday. I wanted to remind them that we (NONE OF US) on Guana would come to their towns on a Sunday and make a spectical of ourselves. I hope you are reading this and you know who you are - don't ruin it for Johnny - Johnny is very good to the community of Guana - extremely philanthropic with his money and always there to help when it is needed. Please remember AMERICANS - that the Abacos are a peaceful, quiet, unassuming place. Go to Cancun, MTV land, Vegas, the Pocanos - some other cheesy place if you want to be cheesy.
