I have been to Nipper’s for the Pig Roast many times, but this last trip (May 13, 2000) was much different then any other. I might point out though, that the Americans were not the only ones playing the fool. There were three women at the next table from the UK that seemed old enough to know better, and at least one local that had no problem “fitting in”. It was not the sort of gathering that I would have been comfortable having my boys at, and was glad they were not along. The family will be going over for Regatta week, and the Pig Roast will not be in our plans. I would like to say one thing that kind of goes along with a statement Steve made. My wife’s family has a saying that just might fit the bill here: “I clean tent invites no mice”.
