The Suncrest Villas are a set of villas just off the Beach in Treasure Cay, right near the center of the community, close enough to walk to the market, liquor stores... . Not the most elaborate here (there are some really fancy places at Treasure Cay!) but certainly suitable for a vacation at the beach, I would be very comfortable there.
Your decision to rent a boat is very wise. Treasure Cay has a beautiful beach but the really interesting and pretty spots are out on the reefs and the Cays, you need a boat to get there. I'd rather stay in a closet and have a boat than have to stay off the water here.
As for food and beer costs. Beer is around $33/case and we don't have all the US brands, but it really doesn't pay to lug the stuff from the states, how much beer do you drink in a week after all? The same goes for food, 2X US costs. Rather than Ritz crackers, we use saltines. And the Bahama bread is so good a tuna sandwich is really delicious and especially after a morning of snorkeling on the most beautiful reef you've ever seen. Dinners are expensive in T.C. (and Abaco in general), I'd plan on breakfast and supper at home and do lunches (when not pic-nicing) at the clubs and bars on the Cays. You'll also note the postings about macaroni and cheese, we do a lot of pasta here. Wine and booze are cheap altho Treasure Cay doesn't have a very good selection (but there is plenty of to-ing and fro-ing to Marsh Harbour, someone can pick up wine for you there).
Do bring your deli type treats, a small cooler with cheeses, ham, pastrami,.. and crisp crackers and peanuts in your bag. (Leave out all those clothes, people lug more here than they ever wear). And your favorite spices, I doubt you'll find much in the time-share and spices are dear out here as they are everywhere.
Eat the fish that you catch that we eat, you'll get plenty of advice on the dock when you come in with something that you shouldn't eat, barracuda is the most suspicious of all.
