I recently spent a month in the Abacos with my wife and five year old son. I was also on a sabbatical from work. We stayed the entire time at Villa Poinciana on Lubbers Quarters. We had a rental boat, and did lots of exploring of the other islands. We never got bored, and had a great time. We did, however, regret not being able to visit Green Turtle, since it was out of the approved rental area for our boat, and would be a long trip in any event. I would suggest spending part of your time on Green Turtle, and the rest at one location on Elbow or Lubbers. You are in for a real treat, whatever you do.
