I would follow Paul's advice, he obviously knows more than I do. So NO to the Twin hull, and Privateers -YES to Whaler. 21+ ' with 150HP. I did not list beefy boats like this as I stayed under $600. I don't know who rents in TC.

The smooth ride is still dependent on wind, i.e. none of these boats is smooth if the winds are 30kts, and when the wind is calm, all the boats are smooth. Just bigger is smoothers, and I guess Whalers are smoother.

Since there are very few Whalers this size (Sea Horse only?) I'd still like to hear from Paul as to why the other types are for the more experienced.
