First of all you couldn't give a much more sensible approach
to boating that what Carol laid out below. Wish I hard
her writing ability. The webmaster should consider adding
her post to the FAQ's.

Second there are a lot of facts even though they may seem
contradtictory at times. Any discusion based on peoples experince
is valid and worth posting. But in any forum figuring out
who has the experince and who has what ax to grind is half the
fun. This has been a good discusion in that it has not gotten
to a personal fistfight between the participants. Just wish this forum
was available before my first trip.

Thrid the only way to be sure you have picked the "right"
boat is to go and use it. I have rented for 4 weeks and
I'm still not satisfied with the choices available.
