Above comments are so correct. Up with the sun, out on the docks, down on the beaches, picnics on other cays, snorkeling,boating, etc etc.
Then a large evening meal. Then some serious starwatching from a dock or beach where you can lie on your back and be comfy, then try to get them into the cottage before they fall asleep.
Rainy days means they need to learn a new, more complicated card game.!! Take several paperback books, lots of waiting on planes, we've found.
Have been with mine at all ages, along with others of all ages. Only time nightlife an issue was new year's, we did charades!
