We go to MH every other year for two weeks over Christmas and New Years. Since we stay at Abaco Towns and have cooking facilities we don't usually go out to eat on Christmas day. There always seems to be taxis running but the stores are definitely closed. Also note December 26th is Boxing Day and is a Holiday in the Bahamas so most places are closed on that day as well. I suggest you confirm with the place you are lodging as they will be able to give good advice, also Justin may have some comments.
