Marsh Harbour Report

Just returned from a wonderful stay at Marsh Harbour this weekend and here is a report for all you first timers...

The Good:
Marsh Harbour is great! People are really friendly and the island is beautiful. We rented a boat and traveled south to Hope Town and Tahiti Beach and found a nice little bar/restaurant at Lubber's Quarter called Yahoe's (which we stumbled upon!). On another day, we traveled north to Guana Cay and made our way down to Man-O-Way Cay. These small islands are nice to visit.

The Bad:
Prices are OUTRAGEOUS!!! We visited the local supermarkets and were very surprised at the high cost of everything! We expected things to be a little expensive but the prices were sky high! The restaurants were not too bad but eating out every night would cost a fortune. Booze was also very expensive (even the local Kalik Beer - $11 for a 6-pack). Fuel (for the boat) was approximately $2.80 a gallon (which I believe is higher than in the states). Aviation fuel (flew myself out there) was $2.15 a gallon (cheaper than most places in the states).

Overall, it was a nice place to visit but it'll take a few months to recover financially! :)
