FLORENCES IN THE MORNING REDUX
David O Durrell
In a scary world turned upside down it is a relief to find that, at least
in Treasure Cay, the more things change, the more they stay the
same.
Florence's deck remains a font of questionable wisdom from the seven to
twelve attendees of the regular daily morning forum. We did learn one
morning that the way for a husband to keep his wife happy is to find out
what she wants and insist on it.
The Treasure Cay Highway was blocked off at the traffic circle with no
prior notice on Sunday, March 9 at midmorning for "renovation." The detour was long, difficult and hard to follow. The entry to a major resort was reduced to a narrow, winding, ill-marked goat path at the height of the tourist season. We asked ourselves if this was just a way for Treasure Cay Maintenance to let everyone know that they are busy doing something.
The only discordant note was the news of Bud Camferdam's imminent, permanent departure from Treasure Cay. His last gift for us was the above-mentioned advice about wives. He will be missed.
