POLICE STATION RETURNS TO TREASURE CAY
ASP Clarence A. Russell II, Royal Bahamas Police Force officer in charge of the Abaco District, personally inspected the new police station site next to the Royal Bank in Treasure Cay. He was dressed in full regalia and a sight to behold.
The Police Station had been moved last year to the Treasure Cay International Airport from its site on the second floor of a building near the Treasure Cay Rotary. The Airport site had rendered the police somewhat isolated from the community they served.
Police Reserve Corporal, Marcellus Roberts, accompanied ASP Russell along with Inspector Cooper, Inspector Moss, and Abaco's head of Immigration, Mr Ferguson.
Besides making this fine space available, Treasure Cay Ltd through Jos Konsten is also assisting to provide permanent housing for an officer to reside in the immediate area.
To the delight of Treasure Cay residents the new space will be occupied before the end of March. It is also important to note that this area continues to be a place on Abaco where everyone does there best to give police as little to do as possible.
