DUPLICATE BRIDGE

For many years, Tuesday evenings have found bridge lovers gathering in the Treasure Cay Community Centre for a spirited round of Duplicate.

As the season rolled around last November, a pair of players were conspicuously absent - the Caldwells. Carol and Alan always figured in the leadership of Duplicate and could usually be assured of first or second place. As most of our readers are aware, Alan Caldwell was struck down by a serious debilitating illness and he was whisked away from his beloved Treasure Cay. Alan addressed this illness with the same dogged determination he has always met every situation in life. We miss you, Alan, and pray for your continued improvement.

Since January, participation has swelled to as many as 24 players and dropped to as low as eight. With Ken Clarke and John Lacey alternating as director, the more recent winners were as follows:
