DOCTOR SAYS THANKS TO PEOPLE OF ABACO
Dr Hyatali Ameeral, who was the medical officer for Central and South Abaco from 1995
to 1999, wishes to thank the people of Abaco for his recent success in obtaining
a post graduate Diploma in Dermatology from the University College of Wales Medical
School. This is one of the leading institutes for dermatological training in Europe.
Several Abaco schools - St Francis de Sales, Abaco Central High School and Long Bay
School - volunteered case studies for Dr Ameeral's dissertation project, for which
he obtained a distinction. He also wishes to thank Dr Francis Biney, the Coopers
Town government doctor, and all the public health staff for their invaluable contribution.
Dr Biney was a mentor, friend and colleague who provided advice, guidance and inspiration
for his studies.
Dr Ameeral is at present attached to the Ministry of Health, Nassau, at the Maternity
& Child Health Division.
