BILLFISH TOURNAMENT DATES SET

Treasure Cay Hotel Resort & Marina will hold its 18th Annual Treasure Cay International Billfish Tournament from 17th - 22nd June 2001. A qualifier for IGFA's International Tournament of Champions, this modified release tournament offers four days of fishing, social parties, dinners, fun competitions, a golf tournament and a Bahamian Arts & Crafts Fair on the lay day. Multiple awards are given for billfish. There are also awards for tuna, dolphin and wahoo.

Registration, which includes boat entry, four dinners and three cocktail parties for up to six team members, team goody bags with t-shirts and hats, room discounts and a donation to the IGFA, is $1,500 per team. Those registering by 31st December receive a discounted price of $1,100 per team. Early entry fee for those registering between 31st December and 1st February 2001 is $1,300 per team of six participants.

The TCIBT is renowned for its great food and camaraderie, with social events families can enjoy. An average of 275 anglers and guests attend each tournament, from many states in the US as well as from foreign countries.
