BAHAMAS REALTY'S SILVINA ANDREWS EARNS BROKER'S LICENCE
A bilingual sales associate with Bahamas Realty who sold more that $7 million worth
of real estate in three years has chalked up another achievement - Silvina Andrews
has successfully completed course and practical requirements to earn her Real Estate
Broker's Licence.
"In a short period of time, Silvina has become one of our top sales associates," said
Larry Roberts, Vice President of Bahamas Realty. "We are proud to announce that she
has completed her international and local course requirements as well as the basic
earning requirement of a minimum $1 in sales in three years, qualifying her for her broker's
licence. She actually quadrupled her three-year sales volume requirement in the first
year."
Mrs Andrews, 36, was born in Argentina and spent 12 years in The Bahamas in the hospitality
sales industry before joining Bahamas Realty in 1997. Her ability to speak Spanish
has enabled her to handle clients from South, Central and Latin America.
"Silvina is a very hard worker, a devoted mother and she's been able to balance the
two very well," said Mr Roberts. "She is a professional in every way and has taken
advantage of every opportunity to further her education."
Mrs Andrews, a soft-spoken intense woman who has built up a cadre of loyal international
clients, recently returned from the National Real Estate Convention in Orlando, Florida,
where she said new developments in computer technology are changing the way real estate sales are conducted.
"Virtual reality is revolutionising the way we sell real estate internationally,"
she noted. "When a person sitting in Hong Kong can look up a web site and scrutinise
the details of a living room in The Bahamas, then 'walk' through the house to the
patio and onto the beach, it's a new world of product, expectations and competition. You
have to be on the leading edge every year and with every new development or the distance
you have to catch up becomes overwhelming. I am proud that I have earned my broker's
licence and that I am going to be working towards my Certified International Property
Specialist, but I do not think I could have done it without the support of a forward-looking
firm like Bahamas Realty that appreciates that cutting edge difference."
