GLADYS ELEANOR WRIGHT

Gladys Wright, 86, formerly of Treasure Cay, passed away on 6th December 2001 in Canada after a short stay in hospital due to advanced Parkinson's disease. A Celebration of Life was held in her memory on 15th December.

Mrs Wright is survived by her husband of 67 years, Arthur Newman Wright; five children, George, David, Nancy, Marg and Lynda; two brothers, Fred and Bob, both of Toronto; twenty grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Until two years ago Gladys and Arthur Wright spent enjoyable winter months over many years at their second home The Wright Place near Ocean Boulevard in Treasure Cay.

VERNON EDWIN ALBURY

Funeral services were held for Vernon Edwin Albury, 78, on 22nd December 2001, at New Life Bible Church, Man-O-War Cay. Bros Ray Zander and Gurth Roberts officiated and the obituary was delivered by Patrick Bethel. Interment was made in Man-O-War Public Cemetery.

Mr Albury is survived by his wife of fifty years, Patricia; two sons, Stan and Gayle; daughter, Sandra Roberts; three grandsons; five granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; three brothers, Marcell, Ritchie and Hilland; two sisters, Lois and Mary Albury; and a host of other relatives and friends.

VELMA RUTH FERGUSON

Funeral services were held for Mrs Velma Ruth Ferguson, 79, of Spring City, at St John's Anglican Church, Marsh Harbour, on 19th January. Officiating was Fr Earl Hepburn assisted by Archdeacon Cornell Moss. Interment was made in Dundas Town Public Cemetery.

Mrs Ferguson is survived by her husband of 56 years, Robert (Bob) Ferguson; nine daughters, Lula Tyskiewicz, Myrtis Russell, Agatha, Donnalee, Wynsome, Nicola and Geraldine Ferguson and Margie Baillou; four sons, John, Eugene, Cedric and Fritz; four sisters, Alfrancis East, Alicia Donald, Inez Rolle and Shirley Lewis; forty-three grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
