THREE KILLED IN PLANE CRASH

Three residents of Marsh Harbour were killed in the crash of US Airways commuter flight 5481 on take off at Charlotte/Douglas International Airport shortly before 9 am on 8th January.

Dead are brothers Robin Albury, 38; Nicholas Albury, 21; and Robin's daughter Caitlin, 12. Robin and Nicholas, along with two other brothers, were owners of Abaco Hardware Ltd in Marsh Harbour.

The two brothers and little Caitlin were on a flight which should have only taken a little over half an hour to Greenville/Spartanburg Jetport where they were to have attended a nearby hardware convention.

Left to grieve were Robin and Nicholas' mother, Mollie Albury; Robin's wife, Janet, and an eight year old daughter, Joanne; Nicholas' wife, Michelle; brothers Daren and Mitchell; many close family members; and the whole of the Marsh Harbour community.

Both Robin and Nicholas attended Abaco Central High School. Robin was the eldest brother and the driving force behind the success of Abaco Hardware. Nicholas was head boy and valedictorian in his senior year at Abaco Central and last summer was elected to the Marsh Harbour Township Committee, perhaps the youngest person ever to be elected. He was also appointed to the Central Abaco Council. Caitlin was a student at Agape Christian Academy in Marsh Harbour and was known as a smart and friendly young person.

All three lives were celebrated at New Vision Ministries on 19th January before interment in the Garden of Memories, Marsh Harbour.
