CYRIL OSBORNE
PINDER
Cyril Osborne Pinder, 90, passed away on 17th November in Green
Turtle Cay.
Mr Pinder is survived by two sons, Everette and Hubert; one
daughter, Eileen; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and three
great-great-grandchildren. He was known as a man who could never do enough to
help others.
FRED GARDINER
Funeral services for Fred Gardiner, 87,
of Fire Road were held at Shiloh Baptist Church, Grand Cay, on 16th December.
Officiating was Rev John Russell assisted by Rev Eulin McIntosh. Interment
followed in Grand Cay Public Cemetery.
Mr Gardiner is survived by ten
children, Gladwin Gardiner, Paul Gardiner, Fred Gardiner Jr, Lermon McIntosh,
Gerald Gardiner, Peter Gardiner, Inita McIntosh, Jastina Hanna, Fredrica
Gardiner, Maxine Cephas, Ruth Miller and Carrie Rolle; 53 grandchildren; and 55
great-grandchildren.
ROBERT LUCIEN STRATTON
Funeral services for
Robert Lucien Stratton, 82, were held at Bible Truth Hall, Marsh Harbour, on
23rd December. Bro John McNeil officiated, assisted by Bro Greg Roberts.
Interment followed in Marsh Harbour Public Cemetery.
Mr Stratton was
pre-deceased by his wife Euphemia (23rd May 2000) and son Robert Van Stratton
(28th March 2000). He is survived by his daughters Amarylis Key and Astrid
Stratton; grandchildren Randy, Al, Ian, Liann and April; and great-grandchildren
Alistair, Robert, Amy, Lonnie and Avery.
Mr Stratton was a World War II
United States veteran, recipient of the British Empire Medal, and a retired
dentist serving numerous islands within The Bahamas during his working
years.
