19th ANNUAL TREASURE CAY BILLFISH TOURNAMENT

Treasure Cay Hotel Resort and Marina will hold its 19th Annual Treasure Cay Billfish Tournament from 23rd-28th June 2002. A qualifier for the IGFA International Tournament of Champions, this modified release tournament offers four days of fishing, social parties, dinners, fun competitions, a golf tournament, a volleyball tournament and a Bahamian arts & crafts fair on the lay day. Multiple awards are given for billfish. There are also awards for tuna, dolphins and wahoo. Registration is $1,700 per team, which includes boat entry, four dinners and three cocktail parties for up to six team members, team goody bag with T-shirts and hats, room discounts and a donation to the IGFA.

The TCIBT is renowned for its great food and camaraderie, with social events families can enjoy. It is a fund raiser for the Treasure Cay Primary School and IGFA Junior Angler program. An average of 275 anglers and guests attend each tournament, from many states in the US as well as from foreign countries.
