ABACO TOURIST OFFICE UPDATE

Ms Cathy Graham, Producer of Broadcasts for Burdines Fashion Shoot, accompanied by Mrs Grace Hart-Caron of BTO Miami, visited Abaco 14-16th November. Ms Graham came to Abaco scouting for a location to shoot Burdines' spring selection of clothing and sandals for television commercials. They were hosted at Abaco Beach resort and were able to visit Hope Town, Casuarina Point and Marsh Harbour. If Abaco is chosen, a cast of about 35-40 persons will be in Abaco the week of 18th January for the fashion shoot.
Mr Francesco Cantu, a journalist from Italy, visited Abaco 15-17th. Mr Cantu is in the process of drawing up an Incentive Guide to The Bahamas for the Italian market in co-operation with Congress Today, a well-known bi-monthly incentive magazine. Mr Cantu visited Marsh Harbour, Hope Town, Man O' War Cay and Different of Abaco. He feels that Different of Abaco is ideal for the European market and that he will go back to Italy and spread the word.
