JOURNALISTS AT DIFFERENT OF ABACO

Nettie Symonette's Different of Abaco was host to a couple of dozen sport fish journalists and fishing equipment representatives who were trying out Abaco's waters for bonefish on 18th & 19th November. They left very impressed with Abaco's bonefish offerings and were equally impressed by Nettie's hospitality.

On the evening of 18th November, there was a dinner party at Different of Abaco to allow members of the sportfishing party to meet local residents and journalists. The evening started with cocktails in the cabana area, accompanied by conch salad and inquisitive flamingos. After the cocktail party a dinner party was held at the main lodge, half a mile away. Guests were treated to wild boar and a wide variety of Abaco entrees, breads and desserts. Delicious!

After the meal, Nettie held a little competition of her own that landed Claudia Pinder of Sandy Point a lovely gift basket, courtesy of Little Switzerland. There were other gifts from A & K Liquors and Little Switzerland for the guests, plus Different of Abaco tee shirts from Nettie. There was a sing-song session to bring everybody even more together and a great deal of hugging and embracing. The journalist guests took away a tremendous impression of Abaco and its hospitality, thanks to Nettie and her invited Abaconians. Several of them said they would be back as soon as they could possibly make it.
