CIBC WINS TOP PERFORMANCE AWARD
CIBC West Indies Holdings Company (CIBC) was presented with Ernst & Young Barbados'
Top Performance Award at a ceremony at Sherbourne Centre on 10th June. Performance
is an annual publication by Ernst & Young, Barbados, which summarises and analyses
information extracted from the audited financial statements of Barbadian public companies
for their fiscal year ending in 1997. Awards are presented for improvements in year
to year operating results. There were 18 companies in this year's analysis.
CIBC West Indies Holding Limited is the parent company of CIBC Jamaica Limited, CIBC
Caribbean Limited and CIBC Bahamas Limited - operating a network of financial service
centres and Automated Banking Machines across the West Indies. With assets of US$1.75 billion, CIBC employs over 1,400 individuals in the West Indies.
