C/1Lt Curry has been a student at Florida Air Academy, a private college preparatory school for boys age 12-19 (grades 7-12), located in Melbourne, Florida, for four years. C/1Lt Curry has received many achievement awards over the past four years. Acquiring this position is an outstanding achievement. C/1Lt Curry will be in charge of a Squadron of approximately 65-70 cadets. In addition to this position he was also awarded the Air Force Association Outstanding Junior Award. This award is only given to one 11th grader per year. C/1Lt Curry will also attend a Leadership School at MacDill Air Force Base in August. C/1Lt Curry's outstanding performance, combined with his academic achievements while serving in the Corps of cadets at Florida Air Academy, reflect great credit on himself, his family and his hometown community of Marsh Harbour. C/1Lt Darvin Curry is the son of Ms Terry Curry of Marsh Harbour and the grandson of Leonard & Mary Thompson, also of Marsh Harbour.
