BERNARD V PFEIFFER

Bernard V Pfeiffer of Stone Harbor, New Jersey, and Treasure Cay died of natural causes in Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital in Cape May Court House, New Jersey, on 8th April. He had been on the Board of Directors and President of Treasure Cay's B.V.O.A. during the 1970's and 80's.

Mr Pfeiffer bought property in Treasure Cay in 1968 and since 1983 had been spending much of the winter months in Beach Villa #717. Up until his death, Mr Pfeiffer served as a trustee of the Isabel Bootle Memorial Scholarship Fund in Treasure Cay.

Since 1982, he and his wife, the former Elizabeth Bissell, resided in Stone Harbor, New Jersey, in the summer and in Treasure Cay in the winter. Mr. Pfeiffer is survived by his wife, and three children: Susan Lane of Haddonfield, New Jersey; Steven of Alexandria; Victor of Bethesda, Maryland; nine grandchildren; his sister, Dorothea
Pfeiffer of Stone Harbor; and his brother Leonard of Glen Rock, New Jersey.

A memorial service was held at Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Stone Harbor on Saturday, 11th April. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made in Mr Pfeiffer's honour to The Wetlands Institute, Stone Harbor Blvd, Stone Harbor, NJ 08247 or to The Isabella Bootle Memorial Scholarship Fund @ Rev. Stafford Symonette, 1100 Lee Wagener Blvd, Suite 113, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33315.

ISABEL LAUGHLIN

Isabel Laughlin, a Treasure Cay pioneer, peacefully passed away on Monday 13th April at Meadowwood Health Care Center in Bloomington, Indiana.

She was buried on Saturday 16th April at St. Michael's in the Hills Episcopal Church in Toledo. Memorial contributions should be made to St Simon's by the Sea Anglican Church, Treasure Cay, in Isabel's name. 


REV THOMAS McINTOSH MBE

Funeral services for Rev Thomas McIntosh MBE of Wood Cay were held on Sunday 26th April at Zion Baptish Church, Fox Town. Officiating was Bishop Samuel Greene and interment was in the Public Cemetery, Wood Cay.

Rev McIntosh is survived by his wife, Eva; one son, Rev Ezekiel McIntosh; two daughters, Lillian Parker and Ellamae Poitier; forty-two grandchildren; fifty-seven great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
