TO THE PEOPLE OF ABACO
The following is a gracious letter from the wife of the President of the Republic
of Honduras passed on to us by Patrick J Bethel:

To the People of Abaco, Bahamas
Dear Friends,
On behalf of the people of Honduras, the President, and myself, I would like to extend
to you our most sincere gratitude for your donation and solidarity shown in our time
of need after Hurricane Mitch devastated the nation.
Our country is still suffering from the damage, which has caused the worst crisis
in our history. With God's help, guidance and strength, your help, and the support
of so many kind and charitable people we will be able to recover.
Your donation of three 20' containers of clothing and food items has been received
by those in distress. Your cheque for five thousand sixty-six dollars and ninety-two
cents (US$5,066.92) will be used in the charity project Fundaciòn Maria has which
will benefit the Honduran children.
With all my heart I thank you for the donation you so graciously sent through Fundaciòn
Maria to help Honduras.
