BAHAMIAN STUDENTS OFF TO LSU
Two Bahamian students commenced studies at Louisiana State University in January thanks
to the Prime Time Foundation. The students, Shaqueria Adderley of Abaco and Scherelle
Culmer of Eleuthera, have full four year scholarships provided by Mr and Mrs Yanover of Jupiter, Florida, through their Prime Time Foundation.
The Foundation provides two scholarships each year for students in Abaco and Eleuthera.
The scholarship is fully paid for but parents of the students may make a reasonable
contribution if they are able.
Mr and Mrs Vanover congratulated Shaqueria and Scherelle and encouraged eligible students
to apply for this year's Prime Time Foundation awards. Applicants must be full time
residents of Abaco or Eleuthera and should take a scholastic aptitude test (SAT).
Announcements will be made in local newspapers so that student applicants and their
parents can meet with Prime Time Foundation representatives during the months of
March and April 2000.
