SECOND ANNUAL BAHAMIAN ARTS & CRAFTS FAIR
Local artists are invited to display and sell their wares free of charge at the 2nd
Annual Bahamian Arts & Crafts Fair in Treasure Cay's Central Park on 13th May from
4-8 pm. Held on the day off of the 15th Annual Treasure Cay International Billfish
Tournament, this event is open to the public.
Last year's inaugural event attracted an interesting variety of quality displays,
including marine paintings, ceramics, carved wooden items, jewellery, baskets, clothing
and more, offered for sale to tournament participants and local visitors. For entertainment and refreshment, Treasure Cay Ltd provided Bahamian food, drinks and native
music.
As the Fair was rated one of the most popular events of the 1997 Tournament, organisers
have made it a permanent lay day activity. Artists can sign up for a table by contacting
Avis Miller, Treasure Cay resort and Marina, by 8th May at (242) 365-8535.
the 15th Annual Treasure Cay International Billfish Tournament, 10th-15th May, is
expected to draw more than 40 boats from the US and The Bahamas.
