BAHAMAS BONEFISH CHAMPIONSHIP FISHOFFS

The Abaco Championship section of the Bahamas Bonefish Championship Fishoffs will take place on Monday 4th May.

The winner of the Abaco Championship will take home a first place prize of $500 with second and third receiving $300 and $150. The competition is open to Bahamian citizens only and there is an entry fee of $100. Only fly fishing tackle is permitted. Line in time is 8 am, lines out at 4 pm. Entries must be made through the Island Administrator.

The Abaco Champion will participate in The Bahamas National Bonefish Championship to be held in Grand Bahama 13th-14th July and face the champions of Acklins, Andros, Berry Islands, Bimini, Cat Island, Crooked Island, Eleuthera/Harbour Island, Exuma, Long Island and San Salvador. There will be no entry from Grand Bahama as that is the home venue for the National Championship.

The winner of the National Championship will represent The Bahamas in the World Invitational Bonefishing Championship, also to be held in Grand Bahama, 7th-11th September.
