VILLA VIGNETTES

The Annual Meeting of the Beach Villa Owners' Association was well attended
on 10th March. Following the general meeting a special meeting was held
to elect Officers of the Association for the forthcoming year. It was moved
by Jim Feeney seconded by Jim Balch that the following appointments be made:

Elmer Leeker President
James Feeney Treasurer
James Balch Secretary and Chairman of the Building Committee
Victor Strimbu Jr. Assistant Secretary
Roberta Knopp Vice President and Chairman of Laundry/Pool Committee
Charles Momm Vice President and Assistant Chairman of Building Committee
Robert Bird Vice President and Chairman of the Landscape Committee
Milton Fehrenbach Retiring President and member ex officio

The year end was celebrated at the home of the retiring President and his
wife. Delicious hors d'oeuvres followed by barbecued hamburgers and hot
dogs and assorted salads were enjoyed. A huge tray of assorted cookies from
Hudson's Delight topped off the meal. We were very lucky to have such an
efficient and affable President backed up by his wife, Norma. A vote of
thanks to them for doing such a good job and for accepting the
responsibility for our villas' well being in the past year.

We have had very little excitement in the villa area with the exception of a
"Demolition Derby" held in our large western parking lot! Great surprise
was expressed that the winner could wipe out five cars with one blow! So
far we have had no golf carts run into the ocean nor flower pots and
furniture thrown in the pool but the villas are full of exuberant young
people and lots of "smalls" being wheeled about by dedicated young parents.
It's encouraging to see the next generation taking root, which augurs well
for the continuation of our villa area as a super place to holiday.
