THE CANCER SOCIETY
October will be observed as Cancer Awareness Month. As an important feature of these
observances a series of FREE clinics will be conducted on Saturday 3rd October. Pap
smear examinations will be performed by a team of doctors from Nassau at the clinics
of Marsh Harbour, Coopers Town and Sandy Point.
It is hoped that as many women as possible will avail themselves of this opportunity.
If detected early enough, most forms of cancer are treatable and need not be life
threatening. The results of these examinations remain confidential.
If you do not take the opportunity to have this FREE test the Cancer Society urges
you to have such a test with your local physician.
