ALL-ABACO REGATTA 2001

The All-Abaco Regatta for 2001 has been brought forward by a month to 20th - 22nd September. It is hoped that the racing will take place in better sailing conditions than those experienced in the past few regattas.

There will be two races each day starting in mid morning and afternoon. All three classes will be contested. Class A boats will vie for a trophy donated by Abaco Markets Ltd; the Class B trophy was donated by the Treasure Cay Property Owners' Association and Sand Bank Yacht Club; the Class C trophy was donated by Nipper's Bar & Grill.

In addition to the racing there will be native food and beverages on sale. There will be domino and whist tournaments and fashion shows featuring clothing from local fashion stores. The music will feature live performances by a number of local groups plus the Royal Bahamas Police Force pop band.

Regatta 2001 promises to be the best yet and the public is invited to join in the fun at the Regatta site beside the Green Turtle Cay ferry dock.
