BEACH VILLA OWNERS ASSOCIATION

Following a period of severe illness Jim Feeney passed away quietly on 28th July at his home in Wolfeboro, NH. Those who knew him well will miss his ready smile and many things he did on behalf of BVOA. His absence will also be felt strongly by his companions of the morning coffee klatch.

Although it had been anticipated that he would have a longer period, when it became evident that he could no longer act in his role as president of the Association, an emergency meeting of the board of directors was convened by telephone conference on 22nd July so that the appointment of acting officers could be made.

The following appointments were made:
Acting Chairman - Robert Bird
Acting Treasurer - Bea Chase
Acting Assistant Treasurer - Charlie Momm

These appointments were made by the board through provisions allowing the filling of vacant positions until the next general meeting of the membership. It is anticipated that a further meeting of the board of directors will be held in Treasure Cay in late November at which time these positions would be filled on a permanent, rather than acting, basis until the annual general meeting to be held in March 2003.
