LUCKY LOREN

Loren Sands of Great Guana Cay left Marsh Harbour early on the morning of 10th August to travel to Spanish Wells, Eleuthera, on his catamaran. When Sands did not arrive at his destination the Bahamas Air Sea Rescue Association in Nassau was called in and several aircraft from Marsh Harbour searched the route. The catamaran was found drifting ten miles off Hole in the Wall but with no sign of Sands.

Sands was later found swimming far from land and was delivered to Spanish Wells after being in the water for eleven and a half hours.
