FNM ELECTS OFFICERS

Election of officers was held in the South Abaco Constituency for the Free National Movement on Friday 13th August at Central Abaco Primary School. Leading the delegation of officers from Central Council in Nassau was Dwight Sawyer, National Chairman, accompanied by Roston Miller, Secretary General, Emily Colebrooke, Deputy Secretary General, and Kim Sturrup, Assistant Secretary General.

The following persons were elected: Jack Albury, Chairman; Veronica Saunders, Deputy Chairman; Cheryl Cooke, Secretary; John Roberts, Assistant Secrtary; Frankie Russell, Treasurer; Patrece Williams, Assistant Treasurer; Alice Williams, Assistant Treasurer; Hartman Lightbourne, Assistant Treasurer; Patrick J Bethel, Co-Chaplain; Joe Sawyer, Co-Chaplain; Derek Albury, Trustee; David Williams, Trustee; Sandra Albury, Trustee; Nick Miaoulis, Trustee; Ann Parroti, Trustee; Neulessa Major, Youth Officer; and Wynsome Ferguson, Council Representative.

Jack Albury was returned as Chairman as well as Frankie Russell as Treasurer and Wynsome Ferguson as Council Representative. All persons elected went in unopposed.

On Saturday 14th August, election of officers was held in the Coopers Town Constituency. Again, the officers were all unopposed. Elected were: Leon Pinder, Chairman; Silbert Mills, Deputy Chairman; Kirk Reckley, Secretary; Joycelyn McIntosh, Assistant Secretary; Steve Pedican, Treasurer; Clifford Henfield Jr and Sylvia Poitier, Assistant Treasurers; Rosamae McIntosh and Joycelyn Russell McIntosh, Chaplains; Burnell Williams, Trustee; Clarrington Anderson, Trustee; John Cooper, Trustee; Lincoln Jones, Trustee; and Anthony Cooper, Trustee; Everette Bootle, Council Representative.
